PASTOR HAMILTON

Reverend William Lynn Hamilton is the Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Schenectady, New York. He served as an Associate Minister at Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church in Albany, New York (2001-2009). Reverend Hamilton was licensed to preach God's Gospel in June 2001 and ordained in October 2009. Reverend Hamilton was installed as Pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church in December 2009. Pastor Hamilton is a former Layman, Young Peoples, Lecturer, Teacher and Facilitator in the Empire Baptist Missionary Convention (Young People Department) yet his preaching teaching passion is for Singles Ministry and Eternal Life After This Life Ministry.

Pastor Hamilton is a graduate of the College of Saint Rose, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree(s) in Sociology and Religious Studies. He also, received a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs at SUNY Albany. He has pursued additional graduate work at the Colgate Divinity School, Rochester NY, the Mid-America Baptist Theology Seminary (Upstate New York Campus) and the New York Theological Seminary, Manhattan New York. Pastor Hamilton is a member of the College of St. Rose Hall of Fame, and a past member of the SUNY Albany Graduate School of Social Welfare Board of Admissions and the National Association of Minority Social Workers.

In his secular life, he is employed with the New York State Division of Parole where he works to successfully reintegrate former offenders into the Community. During his long career with the Division of Parole Reverend Hamilton, has worked closely with Victims of Violent Crimes, Employee Assistance and Critical Incident Stress Management.

Pastor Hamilton resides with his wife, Nicole and two daughters in Schenectady County.
